
Lowell started acting in the film Dangerously Close followed by a small part in the Robin Williams movie Club Paradise. 4 She progressed to other roles, including co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) and, beginning in 1996 acting as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross for two seasons in the drama television series Law & Order, a character she reprised in the year 2005 as a guest star on the spinoff show, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and also on the original series in 2022 when it returned to a 21st season. Before she was cast in this role she was frustrated with her acting career , and decided to pursue a degree in documentary filmmaking at New York University. [4] She quit acting around the year 2000. Lowell lent Lowell her voice and appearance in 2012 when she reprised her Licence to Kill part in the video game 007 Legends. In 2018, she made her return to the screen, appearing as an actress on the TV show Blue Bloods. [7][8] Personal life Lowell was married three times. Her first husband was a fashion photographer John Stember, to whom she was married from 1984 until 1988. [9][10] The couple was together as actor Griffin Dunne from 1989 to 1995. She also has one daughter, Hannah, from the union. [citation needed] Lowell became engaged to actor Richard Gere in November 2002,[11] following the birth of their child Homer James Jigme Gere that was born in February 2000.
