Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer known as one of the members of the band One Direction. The parents of his son are Des Styles and Anne Cox. He was born on the 1st of February, 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where, along with three schoolmates, he founded his own band called White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they won. In spite of always having always shown interest in music he also wanted to be the next lawyer or an physiotherapist. He worked in an area bakery on a part-time basis to help his family financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. The reason for this is that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part of a new group named One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to join the group in the year 2010. The band performed songs like My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the potential winners for the award. The group was however placed third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner, but Cowell had paid two million pounds in a contract for One Direction.
